About Us

Members of the Powell family have been moving pianos for over 50 years. Spanning 3 generations, Powell Piano Removals remains a family owned and operated business.

Servicing nationally the major piano wholesalers, manufacturers, Adelaide's piano dealerships, Universities, Music schools, Function centres, piano tuners and private piano owners, we pride ourselves on moving pianos with care in a professional manner. In fact we move approximately 400 pianos every month, so wether you own an Imperial Concert Grand Piano, Small Antique Upright, Harpsichord or Forte Piano, we can assist you in your move all across Australia.

Moving a piano requires special equipment and expertise only available by using a dedicated piano removalist. Piano removals are the main priority of our business and we specialise in difficult access including shifting pianos upstairs and downstairs and onto stages.

We transport pianos every day from one room to another, locally around Adelaide, to South Australian country rural areas, interstate (including Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth including surrounding country areas as a regular service, see the Services page for more info) and we also provide packaging services to prepare pianos for international travel. As an Australia-wide company we are recognised by interstate piano transport companies, tuners and repairers.
